holy cow, ya’all!

Our tiny house is on its way! Here’s the latest photo of the cabin…window framing is done. Every step of the way is so exciting :) I also stopped by our land the other day and took a couple photos to share. Not a bad view…I’m pretty sure it will be heavenly to wake up to that every day!

When I learned about tiny living, I became obsessed with the notion and wouldn’t quit until it was a part of my life. Being a scorpio born on a full moon, when I get serious about something there is no stopping me. So, for the past year Pat and I have been mad scientists, researching for countless hours how to make this dream a reality. All the work has paid off and I’m happy to say we’re moving in in July. We’re letting go of most of our possessions, which is a liberating exercise. Being attached to things is dangerous; all things are on loan. Nobody owns anything. It’s nice to let things flow in and out of your life. Enjoy them while they’re there and let the next person enjoy them. We came out here with some clothes on the roof of our car, two guitars, a few miscellaneous items, a kitty litter, and two backseat critters. We then filled our apartment with glorious vintage furniture, an antique piano, and colorful curtains. Appreciated them for a year, and now it just so happens my friend is moving into a place and wants to take the everything we no longer need. How perfect!

Pat and I were talking over some good Koreatown pho last night about how those who really have their heart in something and are committed for a good cause will succeed at it. I really believe that to be true. Whether you’re an artist, a musician, a tiny house enthusiast, etc. if your reason for pursuing it is noble and you put your energy into it, then it’s just a matter of time until you have success with it. What a lovely notion!

I haven’t had a day off in a couple weeks, but the day has finally arrived! The birds are chirping, the flowers are in bloom and the weather’s fine. Feelin’ good. Dog park here I come :) Sending lots of love your way today!
